It is more than a play on words. It reflects the way we, as The Anatomical Network, want to celebrate World Physiotherapy Day.
Listen to the person before focusing on the problem.
Welcome the complexity that each person brings with them.
Analyse movement and function without reducing them to a single structure.
Adapt the pathway, because no rehabilitation process is exactly the same as another.
Accompany change while respecting its timing and possibilities.
Expand, finally, because one of the deeper aims of rehabilitation is to restore possibilities that pain, disease, trauma or limitation may have reduced.
For us, those six actions express a single idea of physiotherapy.
A profession grounded in scientific knowledge that recognises the person as a complex and dynamic system, in which relationships, movement and adaptation continuously influence one another.
Because rehabilitation means restoring possibilities.
